Client Care
In this module, we encourage you to reflect on what client care means, typical flashpoints and how to develop your own approaches within the limitations that come with being a junior lawyer. By the end of this module you will have an improved awareness of how you can influence the client care experience positively both in terms of what you can do personally and how you might bring in help from others within your team.
Understanding Clients
This module provides you with a platform for understanding clients and their business, and encourages you to think like business owners. We address the elusive concept of 'commercial awareness' by focusing on a core number of tangible commercial terms and concepts such as cash flow, turnover versus profit, business costs (such as 'COGS') and 'margin' versus 'mark-up'. We explore their meaning and significance from a 'layman's' perspective to encourage a real, day-to-day level of understanding.
